What is the line?

What is the Line.png

Flesh is your way of meeting your eternal needs of security, affirmation, affection, love and worth.  Your flesh has established your boundaries of life.  You have allowed yourself to be controlled, imprisoned, by your beliefs, your ways of meeting your needs!   You have placed yourself in prison (and handed the keys over to Satan) because you are working to make your life decisions outside of a relationship with GOD.

Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.

Romans 8:5-8 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. 6For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. 7For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. 8Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

1 John 2:16  For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.

Romans 8:13  For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

Offered Prayer

Father, please reveal to me the sin and flesh that I may not realize is keeping me in bondage. Help me to see how I’m trying to get my needs met, and how I have been coping up till now. Amen.
