SoccerMET
What is SoccerMET?

SoccerMET is about individual ball mastery, pure and simple!  It is the only teaching system that quantifies individual ball technique allowing players, coaches, teams, and clubs to establish standards, test, track, and to motivate players to practice individual ball handling skills away from the practice field.

SoccerMET uniquely applies a rhythmic system, via metronome, to define a rhythm and speed that guides and defines the individual ball body movement exercise.
This is the ultimate positive feedback system.  Players are motivated to practice "away from the field" accelerating skill development.

Soccer players have very few quantifiable measures to gauge success. Players, parents, and coaches use goals, assists, tackles, and saves to evaluate performance.  At SoccerMET, we believe success is based on quality and quantity as judge by skill, knowledge, confidence and results.  SoccerMET introduces a new and revolutionary way to evaluate technique while simultaneously improving player skill, confidence and motivation.

The heart of SoccerMET system provides the means to "discover" athletic rhythm while quantifying the rate at which technique is executed.  Players and coaches can modify the rate or speed "on-the-fly" to reinforce aspects of proper technique, rate of conditioning, and athletic performance (balance, agility, speed of repetition or foot work).  Players love the fact that they have a tool and system that they control to improve the fundamental aspects of ball control and athleticism. Coaches love the fact that players practice on their own and love it!

Correct technique can only be mastered through repetition.  This is the challenge of youth soccer.  SoccerMET encourages, motivates, and quantifies repetition.  Players and coaches know exactly how many touches are executed in every session.
SoccerMET improves and encourages motivation by placing control in the player’s hands.  Players want to improve simply because they have the means to quantify and judge their own performance. As a result players become more responsible for their performance and work ethic. By setting goals, achieving, and rewarding performance, SoccerMET provides is the ultimate "Motivational Tool".

Coaches Dilemma

Unlike other countries, like Brazil, where players are motivated by their culture and environment to practice and play soccer on a daily basis, American players practice 2 to 3 times a week for up to 90 minutes with games on the weekends.  In order for players to improve their skill coaches expect players to practice “on-their-own” to improve the critical technical skills.  Coaches will give “homework” on selected drills.  The problem stems from lack of proper motivation.  SoccerMET provides the players and coaches with the means of motivation.

Players Dilemma

Players want to be motivated and want to satisfy the team’s and coach’s aspirations.   However, there are no clear means for developing sound technical skills away from the practice field
Solution

SoccerMET is the first and only system designed to develop and test individual soccer technique.  SoccerMET is an approach or environment in which players seek to improve fundemental athletic and soccer technique.  SoccerMET is comprised of:
METodology - A progressive time-tested program taking simple athletic and soccer movements to more demanding and faster execution of technique.

METrics

SoccerMET is a testing platform to progressively develop individual technique and athletic performance (balance, agility, and timing)

METronome

At the heart of SoccerMET is the rhythm device of metronome.  Advances in science are providing evidence that external rhythmic systems can improve bio-muscular functions.  Players can essentially hone-in and discover their own rhythm which accelerates the execution and development of athletic movements.
Research and testing SoccerMET has provided these benefits beyond the original design:
1.     Acceleration of athletic development
2.     Improved balance and agility
3.     Quantitative measurement of individual soccer technique
4.     Motivational tool to excel
5.    Goal Setting
6.    Reward System
7.    Definitive Technique evaluation tool
8.    Self-Paced

How it Works

SoccerMet follows the training principle of simple to complex.  This means that every exercise starts with a low BTM, this allows the player to comfortably find the beat and rhythm. The player advances after a successful test.  As the player advances within a exercise, the increased BTM speed creates more stress and complexity.
