The Save

The Save.png

Jesus’ death on the cross washed away all our sins – past, present and future. Jesus’ resurrection gave us a new spirit, a new identity as a son of God. Our spirit is no longer dead but alive to God, and He sees us as righteous.

As a result, our sin and flesh lose their power over us.  The influences of inflation and deflation are replaced by the spirit at work within us and Holy Spirit is working with us, changing our flesh.

2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.[a] The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

2 Corinthians 5:21  God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Romans 6:3-4  Do you not know that we who have been baptized into Christ Jesus, were baptized into His death? We were buried, therefore, with Him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Jesus was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

Romans 8:1-4  There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.  For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.  For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.[a] The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

Romans 8:12-14   So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Ephesians 2:4-5  But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved

Offered Prayer

Dear Lord, Thank you for sending Jesus in my place as the perfect sacrifice. I am so thankful that you see me as righteous, that you love me, that you see value and worth in me. Help me, Holy Spirit to truly believe these words of truth; help me to operate out of the Spirit instead of the flesh, that I can be the light of Christ to others. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
