The Ultimate Coach

Ultimate Coach Audio

The Ultimate Coach is formed when the Coach has a developing relationship with God. God is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. A coach who understands who he or she is in Christ (holy, righteous, heir of God, and co-heir with Christ) and lives this out for the world to see, provides the greatest opportunity for the player to see Christ alive and in-action.

The Ultimate Coach knows what his role is for the players. He is their shepherd - their motivator, encourager, helper, trainer, teacher, and counselor. The Ultimate coach also understands that he or she can be these roles because of Holy Spirit living inside them, and thus he is always pointing the player to God.

The Ultimate Coach's goal is about winning players, and not games. Winning games is simply a by-product of a coach and his God-loving connection with his or her players. The players, in turn, are highly motivated by such a coach and will perform to the best of their ability both on and off the field.

There is a decision that can only be made by you, the coach. The Ultimate Coach can materialize only after you make the decision to give your life to Jesus Christ.

Matthew 22:37-39 “And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

John 13:34-35 “A new commandment I give to you, to love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are to love one another. By this, all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.

2 Corinthians 4:5 “For what we proclaim is not ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.”

1 Corinthians 2:2 “For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.”

Prayer

Ever-Loving God, our Creator, God of our Salvation, Father, all praise, honor, and glory is yours now and forevermore. We stand in awe and reverence of your profound and perfect love for us, even in our imperfections.

You have set down your statutes in your Commandments to us and not just perfect obedience to your Word but understanding your Will and following your Ways with total application of our minds, hearts, souls, and senses is what will empower us to refrain from evil and grow in love.

Help us to grow in your grace by growing in trusting your love. By increasing in union with you, dear Lord, we can allow our lives to be transformed, increasing in our love for You and our neighbor. We desire to rid ourselves of hypocrisy and world-wise ways of reaching out to people, giving sparingly and with suspicion of the intent of the person. Love is giving without any expectations.

Just as Jesus loved us with a love so great, that he gave up his life for us to be restored to you, Father, for all eternity, we resolve to consecrate our lives to you totally and irreversibly, to the glory of your Name and in receiving the just dispensation of your grace and love, to increase our love for you and for our brethren in perfect obedience to your Will and in Jesus’ Name.

Amen.
