Sunday, May 27th - Flying Home

While we were excited to be headed home to Virginia, our hearts were heavy to be leaving behind these special friends and experiences we had in Ethiopia and Tanzania. Such amazing people, large hearts, great hospitality and so grateful for our visit.

We arrived Monday morning in Frankfurt, and hopped on their subway/train system to see historic downtown. Much of Frankfurt was destroyed during World War II, but they have painstakingly rebuilt the buildings so they closely resemble what had been there before.

Bob and Jeanne took a pitstop to have lunch and play cards, a game called 2500 taught to Jeanne by Mike and Dee Gross of Warrenton. Here is Jeanne, crowned champion after winning two games! That's the Frankfurt map that she's wearing (as a Kitenge), holding the score pad.
